Shoolini Mata temple is one of the Oldest temple of Himachal. Maa Shoolini lives in each house of Solan. Here people are having immense devotion towards Maa Shoolini. Infact the city Solan known as Mushroom City of India is also named of Goddess Shoolini. Earlier City name was Shoolini graam, but as a time changed it turns to Solan City.

Every year in last week of June. Shoolini festival is organised for three days. In this festival Maa Shoolini is taken out of her temple in a rich and lavish manner ornamented palanquin. Maa Shoolini is kul devi of village Kabaankala panchayat, Teh. Kasauli, distt. Solan. After doing maa shoolini poojan at there village jyot come back to temple and mela commence after that.

On first day, varies jhaankis used to showed on road of solan and local shop-keepers and people of Solan used to offer food and drinks to public on the name of Maa Shoolini at the end of Day Maa Shoolini palanquin comes from Bazaar of Solan and give blessings to local public and all used to take blessings from Maa.

After Maa palanquin taken round of Solan Bazaar. Maa Shoolini used rest at Durga Maa temple in Ganj Bazaar Shoolini. It is said that Durga maa is elder sister of shoolini. After resting for two days and public darshan maa at Durga maa temple or 3rd day Maa Shoolini  palanquin with lots of joys and emotions come back at there temple i.e. Shoolini temple.
