As we know and tourist assumes that the right time of snowfall in Shimla and other hilly areas starts from the month of December. But, after much delay, the Himachal Pradesh capital on Tuesday experienced season's first snowfall, which started tourist from nearby regions and abroad together in Britisher summer capital on India and to a surge of tourists to savor the snow-covered landscape.
Places near to Shimla like Kufri, Tutu, Mashobara and Narkanda have also been experiencing snowfall, turning the tourist destinations more picturesque.
As news of the snowfall spread in T.V. channels and from other news mediums, tourists flocked to Shimla, known for the imperial grandeur of its buildings that were once institutions of power when the town served as the summer capital of British India.
"From the local sources and from our vision. It's for the first time that we witnessed the snowfall. We all are thankful to mountains God and Goddess that they showered the snow that made relief for tourism and apple valley to generate and entertain the tourism in the valley.
Yesterday Shimla, which saw a low of 2.7 degrees Celsius, recorded mild snowfall, while Kufri and Mashobra recorded moderate snowfall. The day's temperature in Shimla stayed at 11.4 degrees.
